What is the IRON-E?
The PESS IRON-E is a 10 kWh LFP mobile battery generator with 8 kW rated output and up to 10 kW maximum output. It produces 230 V pure sine AC and is built into an all-terrain 120 kg chassis.
Can it run continuously?
Battery-only runtime depends on load. At 1 kW, PESS lists around 10 hours; at 2 kW around 5 hours; and at 4 kW around 2.5 hours. Solar and a compatible external generator can extend runtime substantially.
Can you use solar?
Yes. The IRON-E has an integrated MPPT system and accepts up to 5.5 kW of PV input. PESS's EKLA mobile solar kit is specified at up to 1.76 kWp peak and around 8.8 kWh/day under stated conditions.
Can you combine units?
Yes. PESS states that up to six IRON-E units can be coupled in parallel to create a tailored system of up to 50 kW and 60 kWh.
